These wagons were used to transport plywood containers carrying cement from Geelong to Cudgewa for use in the Kiewa hydroelectric project. They were converted from I/IA wagonsWithin a few years the traffic had ended and the wagons were converted to other uses, the majority were converted to IT timber wagons with lesser amounts going to IK flat/safety wagons. | |||||||||||||||
Prior to the creation of the KCC code the early converted wagons were put into service in their original code.
IA 11858 was recoded to KCC 1 on 25-10-1962
